What You Missed On Social Media: Spring Came

We think you might be interested in some of our favourite social media posts. That’s where we share glimpses of our real lives beyond the blog. To save you the trouble of having to search our social media accounts, here are some of the highlights from April and May.

Social Media Conversations With Peachy

We have a bit of a series happening on Twitter where we share some words of wisdom from Peachy. These are real conversations. Peachy is 3 years old now and she has a lot to say.

Instagram Photos

We’ve had our Instagram account for a long time but we haven’t been active on it until recently. We’re finally embracing this platform to share some of our photos and show you what we’re up to.

We started posting photos in the spring. It all began with our garden cleanup. Of course Peachy had to help. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty and she loves digging.

This spring Clementine has been discovering our backyard. At this time last year she was brand new and not quite aware enough to realize how big her world really is. This year she’s ready to learn and experiment with every new thing that crosses her path.

We had planned a visit to grandma and grampa’s house for a campfire and marshmallows but sadly it fell through. We had to improvise and roast marshmallows on the BBQ. Not quite the same experience but Peachy still loved it.

Of course once the marshmallows were ready it was time for the s’mores! This was Peachy’s first time eating the deliciously sticky treat. She loved it.

Mommy discovered a Peppa Pig cookie house that never got made for Christmas. Luckily those things have a long shelf life and there were still several months before it expired. So we turned it into a spring house instead. We swapped out all the Christmas themed decorations and used some stuff from our pantry such as butterfly sprinkles and silver balls. Considering that fact that Peachy was starting to eat one corner while Mommy was putting on the finishing touches, I think it turned out alright.

When dandelions bloom, they can put on quite the show. It just so happened that they were if full bloom at the park when we were walking through on the way home from the library. They may be weeds but in great numbers they’re actually quite beautiful. Peachy enjoyed picking the pretty “flowers” and Clementine watched from her stroller quite amazed by the whole thing.

Peachy is delighted to have her bubble wands back and this year we got her a bubble gun at the dollar store. Money well spent! She can spend hours running around in the backyard just making bubbles and popping them. Peachy feels that Clementine is now old enough to discover bubbles for herself and she insists that she must make bubbles for her little sister to pop. Clementine has no objections.

Random Tweet

Mommy just couldn’t keep the frustration inside anymore. The truth had to be said!

That’s it for our social media review. We’ll try to make these reviews a regular part of our blog. If you can’t wait for the next update, you can follow us on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
