Photowall Review and Giveaway

Kids grow up so fast. As a mom blogger I document the lives of my little ones with words and photos. Yet this doesn’t make me immune to those small changes that tend to creep in and catch parents by surprise. I’m obsessed with finding innovative ways to preserve the memories while my littles are still little. That’s why I was so excited when Photowall approached me for a review.

About Photowall

Photowall is a company based in Sweden that specializes in custom wall art. They produce made to order wallpaper and prints. Photowall’s print options include canvas prints, posters, and paper prints that come framed and sealed behind acrylic glass.

Photowall product options

Upload your own image and have it printed on either wallpaper or one of the print options. Choose the size and shape of your print. Would you rather leave the photography to the professionals? No worries. Photowall has hundreds of stunning images to choose from.

Time for a Photoshoot

I knew right away that I would want a print of a photo from our family collection. The first order of business would be to stage a photoshoot to capture that special moment. I set up a space in my kitchen, got the girls ready and into position, and started snapping away with the camera.

As is often the case with pets and children, multiple takes were required. In the end I did get a few pictures I was happy with. One in particular stood out.

Ordering and Assembly

I decided on a custom print on stretched canvas for our review. I uploaded my photo, chose the size I wanted, and picked my border colour. The ordering process was simple and the website was easy to use. Then I waited for my package to arrive.

Photowall Ordering System

Photowall delivers prompt service and my package was at my door in a matter of days. Inside the box was the rolled up canvas, four pieces of wood for the frame, a bag of hardware, and assembly instructions. I was somewhat confused by the instructions but Photowall does have a video which made things clear.

Overall the assembly wasn’t complicated and took no time at all. After laying the canvas face down I was able to stick the edges to the frame using the double sided tape already in place on one side of each frame piece. Then it was just a matter of using the included hardware to assemble the four pieces of the frame. The only tools I needed was a ruler and pencil to help me position the frame on the canvas.

Our Photowall Product

The finished product turned out very well. The colors of the print are vibrant and true to life. The canvas didn’t end up being nearly as tightly stretched as I had expected but it doesn’t droop or sag at all.

Because the image is printed on canvas and not on flat paper, there is a texture to it when viewed up close. I was at first concerned that it would look pixelated. However, once I hung my print on a wall the texture on the canvas was no longer apparent and the image looks great and crystal clear.

Overall I’m very pleased with my experience at Photowall. I enjoyed using the well designed website and ordering system. The quick delivery didn’t keep me waiting long and the packaging was more than adequate. I had no trouble assembling the product and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

Photowall has given me a beautiful piece of wall art that I can be proud to display. I have captured and preserved a moment of my children at play. It will be a family treasure for years to come.
