I Can Do Photography

Mommy is always taking photos of me. Just about every day I see the camera pointed in my direction. Even at times when I’m not doing anything special, I find myself at the center of the camera’s attention. Most of the time it doesn’t really bother me. Maybe I’m just used to it. That’s the way it has been for as long as I can remember.

Sometimes I sort of like the attention a little. Other times I wish mommy would pay a bit more attention to me instead of the camera. Then there are times when I’m very curious to know what that camera is all about. Mommy is always using it and I would like to give it a try too.

Sometimes mommy comes in for a closeup, and that’s when I reach out and try to figure out all this photography business. The camera has a strange eye in the middle and I would really like to poke it a little. Mommy generally doesn’t allow me to do that, but sometimes my speed can be surprising. I can be quick and cunning.

Poke!

It’s nice to get my hands on that camera and poke that strange eye, but what I really want to do is get it in my mouth. For some reason mommy doesn’t want me to do that either! When it comes to the camera, mommy is not very good at sharing and I’m just not strong enough to wrestle the whole camera out of mommy’s grip.

The camera has this one dangly bit and that is of a much more manageable size for my small hands. This piece is attached to the camera by a string and mommy doesn’t always notice that I have it in my hand. On a few occasions, while mommy was too busy trying to get that perfect closeup of me, I managed to lick that piece of the camera a little. Somehow mommy always gets it away before I can really get it in my mouth.

Does photography have a flavour?

Mommy says that if I’m so interested in the camera, maybe I should work with a camera when I grow up. I just don’t see why I have to wait. Surely if I can be a blogging baby, I could be a camera taster too.

Very true! They seem to love cameras and phones especially, and their little smiles when they see them coming can often be really useful for a good pic 🙂

    • Oh yes. Peachy certainly loves my cell phone. Doesn’t help that I let her play games on it Thanks for reading.

  • Ha ha funny post! Babies are obsessed with everything that we have. Our camera has had the lens poked a few times too. My phone is an obsession, and I’m forever taking photos on it. Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

    • Peachy gets downright angry when I don’t give her something she wants. She screams at me in the most enraged fashion. She doesn’t realize that it’s impossibly difficult to get tiny fingerprints off a camera lens. Thanks for reading.
