Is there anyone who enjoys moving? Packing up all your belongings, organizing the stuff that’s accumulated over time, trying to fit it all into a truck, and then living out of boxes until you settle in. There is no part of that which fits into the fun category.<\/p>\n

If that wasn’t bad enough there is also all that cleaning that needs to be done. The new place will need a good scrub to make it your own. Don’t forget about the place you’re leaving behind. That’s going to need some attention too. If you don’t take care of your old place it could be costing you.<\/p>\n

Don’t lose your deposit because of an oversight! With so much to do it’s easy to miss something important. Luckily we have a very handy checklist for you. Tuck this one away for the next time you find yourself in need of a moving truck.<\/p>\n

Moving out can be a stressful time for families, but with the right tools it can be a breeze.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve reached the end of your tenancy, your landlord will expect you to clean the property before moving out for good. Not only will this help you to get a positive reference, but this will also help ensure that you get your security deposit back.<\/p>\n

Why You Should Use a Checklist<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re moving, you already have enough on your plate, so you won\u2019t want to spend more time than necessary scrubbing your old place. To make the process more manageable, we recommend using a cleaning checklist to help you identify what needs to be done in each room.<\/p>\n

Before You Start<\/h2>\n

Before you dive into cleaning, make sure that you have everything in place first. Talk to your landlord and check your lease to find out about cleaning expectations. Another handy tip is to finish packing before you start scrubbing, as the less stuff you have in the property, the easier it will be to clean.<\/p>\n

On the Day<\/h2>\n

On the day of the clean, it might also be a good idea to arrange a playdate for the kids for a few hours so you can get through the work quickly. Be sure to check that you have all the cleaning supplies you need so you don\u2019t have to do any last-minute runs to the store. Once you feel that you\u2019re good to go, throw on some funky jams to energise you and get stuck in!<\/p>\n
