Taking Care of Mommy
My mommy takes good care of me. She cooks healthy meals with lean protein and a large assortment of fruits and vegetables. Mommy encourages me to drink plenty of water every day. She makes sure that I get enough sleep every night.
Mommy is also my fitness coach. She takes the time to help me get enough exercise every day. Mommy makes it fun by turning my exercise time into playtime. There are many games a baby can play which are very active.
Eating right, staying hydrated, exercise, and setting aside enough time for sleep are all important parts of a healthy lifestyle. It’s not always easy but all the hard work is worth the effort. I’m a very healthy baby and I feel great.
Since mommy takes such good care of me, it got me thinking about mommy’s health too. I have heard mommy say that because of me mommy and daddy both eat healthier food. It’s nice to know that I’m contributing to mommy and daddy’s wellbeing. I like to be helpful.
I’m sure mommy sleeps while I’m sleeping because what else would she do when I’m not around? Mommy can always be found with a cup of water nearby so I know she stays hydrated. What about exercise? I don’t think mommy does much of that. I better help mommy out!
I’m not an expert in the area of mommy exercises, so I decided to turn to people who are. I was recently contacted by a company called Flex who wanted to know if I would be interested in doing a review of their website. After a quick look around I knew this would be perfect for my mommy and I eagerly agreed to the review.
The truth is that mommy doesn’t do much exercising because she doesn’t have much time. Mommy spends most of her time taking care of me. What time is left over she spends on taking care of daddy, our cats, and our home. Not only does mommy have little free time, the time she does have is erratic and unpredictable.
The great thing about Flex is that it’s available anytime at the click of a button. Flex connects people with fitness professionals in the comfort of home. All you need is a computer and you can take a class anywhere at any time. It’s really quite ingenious.
I decided to introduce mommy to Flex to see how she likes it. Mommy signed up for the 30 day free trial right away so that she could try it out. It’s completely risk free. There wasn’t even a credit card required.
After signing up mommy was taken to a screen where she could select the kinds of exercises she is interested in. Mommy selected Dance, Pilates, and Yoga but there were several others to choose from. Here is a list of all the options that were available:
- Barre
- Cardio
- Dance
- HIT
- Pilates
- Pre/Post Natal
- Strength/Toning
- Yoga
- Other
After making her selection, mommy was taken to a scheduling screen. There were seven columns displayed. One for each day of the week. The rows represented the hours. Mommy simply highlighted all the days and times that she could possibly want to join a class.
Once mommy selected her preferred types of exercise, and filled in her schedule, a new screen popped up displaying all of the classes coming up which matched mommy’s criteria. You can go to your settings and choose to have a schedule reminder sent by email.
The best thing about Flex is that you don’t have to follow even your own schedule. Whenever you want to join a class and have a workout, simply log on and press the “Live & Upcoming” button. This takes you to a screen of all classes currently in progress as well as those that are starting soon. Just click on what interests you and join in.
This morning mommy and I did three classes. We started with some Pilates, followed by light yoga, and finished it off with some core strengthening exercises. I’m happy to see mommy getting into it. She already has some of her favourite instructors. Mommy has subscribed to their channels so that she can watch for more of their classes.
Flex has a social aspect too. Each class has a chat feature at the bottom where members can talk or leave comments for the instructor. There is also the option to invite friends from Facebook or Twitter. You can take a class together without even being in the same building.
Flex is great for busy people who want to be more active. There are classes starting all the time so no matter when you want to exercise, you are bound to find something suitable when it’s convenient for you. There are longer classes and shorter ones. Beginner oriented and advanced level. Why not sign up for the free trial and test it out yourself? It might be your first step to a healthier you.
*We were not paid for this review but we did receive a free membership period. The expressed opinions are honest and entirely our own.
What a great sounding way to personalize your fitness and remind you when classes are on #Best&Worst
I love the fact that you can just log in and take a class when it’s convenient. Babies don’t work around anyone’s schedule. I like that flexibility to do a class when I can. Thanks for visiting.
So, does the app show you where local classes are taking place (in a physical location) or is it over the internet? If its a physical thing this sounds awesome! Glad you enjoyed it #BloggerClubUK
As far as I know it’s just online. Flex caters to busy moms who find it hard to get out of the house to hit the gym. Thanks for visiting.
Oh this sounds great – I keep saying I need to get back into exercising, but it’s been 20 months since Alfie was born and I’m still finding excuses not to. This sounds like something easy I can do on my terms #bestandworst
I’m in the same boat. It’s hard to make time when you’re busy chasing after a little one. Flex really is great for that. I can do it whenever time permits. Do the free trial and see if you like it. Thanks for reading.
What a fantastic way to keep fit. It’s a fab idea to be able to take a class when it is suitable for you. #bestandworst
I enjoyed it. I didn’t do a class yesterday as I was feeling a bit sore from doing 3 the day before. But I think I’ll try another one today. Thanks for visiting.
I’m a huge yoga fanatic, so I’m going to check Flex out. Thanks for sharing! #ShowMeYours
Yoga is great even though I’m not very good at it. I hope you find something you like. Thanks for reading.
He he I’m sure mommy does sleep when you do! But flex sounds great, nice and easy to use and a good choice of classes #coolmumclub
I’m sure mommy is very bored when I’m not around. All I ever see her do is take care of me. Thanks for reading.
Hahaha! So nice to have your child taking such good care of you! 😉 Your post reminded me that I could use some exercises too, but then I remember that days aren’t long enough to do everything and I still need to clean the house!!! Arghhh…
#StayClassyMama
The days are not long enough and my house is a mess too. But the days are not likely to get any longer so we have to choose how we spend our time. Thanks for reading.
You are absolutely right! Believe me I do have total respect for mums who manage to do it all and get some time to themselves. I also agree that you have to make priorities and not let the everyday life overwhelm you and bury you (ehm ehm, like me). x
I hope I didn’t come across as managing to get it all done. That’s not me. At least half my house is a disaster at any given time. It’s an uphill battle. That’s kind of what I put on the bottom of the priority pile. The only room that gets due attention is the kitchen. I eliminate germs but leave dust and clutter alone if I run out of time.
Classes running all of the time? Well that is fabulous! I need to look into this 🙂 Thanks Peachy!
There are several to choose from at any given moment and new ones starting all the time. I hope you find something you like. Thanks for reading.
This sounds interesting, and a great way to fit exercise around a busy lifestyle. Well done for looking after your mummy, little Peach! #coolmumclub
Thank you. Mommy deserves it. Besides, she needs the exercise so that she can keep up with me. Thanks for reading.
What a great idea. I’ll have to take a look as I need to get healthier too. Thank you for linking up to #ablogginggoodtime 🎉

Thanks for linking up to #coolmumclub Peachy!
So far so good. Thanks for visiting.
This sounds like a great idea! I used to exercise loads but hardly do it anymore because I don’t have time now that I’m trying to juggle work and a toddler and don’t really have the time. I know – excuses, excuses….#stayclassymama
I feel the same way. It’s hard to find time. That’s why I like how flexible this is. I’ve been doing it whenever I feel like I need a break from blogging. Thanks for reading.
These online exercise programs are fab as they can be just dipped in and out of whenever, I love a bit of Hiit and love the downward dog pic. Enjoy getting fitter. Thanks for sharing with #bestandworst x
Thanks. Peachy has been doing that post for a few months now but she always stops when I get the camera. Finally managed to sneak up on her. Thanks for reading.
How cool is this?! Something I definitely need to check out!

Aw I love this! I’m about to go for a run, but when I come back I’m going to take my girls for a quick run around the block! Thanks for linking up to #ThatFridayLinky
I’ve never been much of a runner. I always found it hard on the knees. But any exercise you can commit to is a good thing. Thanks for visiting.
What a great way for busy mums to fit in exercise. So difficult when you have a baby around to commit to a particular time, so it sounds perfect for fitting in whenever works for you! Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
I thought so too. I’ve been enjoying it so far. Thanks for reading.
Flex sounds like a great idea for busy mums. Will check it out #sharingthebloglove
If you have any interest in it at all, you should definitely do the free trial. There’s nothing to lose. Thanks for reading.
Peachie Pie’s downward facing dog just brightened my day!
#fabfriday
Thanks. Peachy loves her yoga. Thanks for visiting.
This sounds fab, such a great way for busy mums to fit in some expertise when the opportunity arises.
I think that was the entire motivating factor for creating Flex in the first place. And I think they did a great job of it. Thanks for reading.
I so need this Flex app! I am so unfit! lol! I am doing the Colour Run in the Summer and I haven’t started training yet! HELP!! I’m going to go on Flex now. Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us on #FabFridayPost x
I hope Flex works out for you. At least do the free trial. You’ve got nothing to lose. Good luck with your run and thanks for visiting.
I really need to start exercising more, may have to take a look at this x

At least do the free trial. What’s the worst thing that could happen? Thanks for reading.
This sounds like an amazing website! I love that you can do all the workouts from the comfort of your own home but are also able to chat with the instructor afterwards. Great idea for busy mums xx thanks for linking to #BlogCrush
I haven’t taken advantage of the chat feature yet but it would be great for questions or feedback. Thanks for reading.

#Alittlebitofeverything
That’s the best thing about it. In my opinion anyway. Thanks for reading.
This app looks fab love the photos Thanks for linking to the #THAT FRIDAY LINKY come back next week please
Thanks. It took me a long time to get that picture. Peachy is a little camera shy when she’s doing her yoga. Thanks for reading.
This is a great idea. It’s so hard as a mum to find the time to exercise and this is fab that it fits around you. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove x
I thought it was a great idea too. That’s why I just had to blog about it. I bet a lot of moms struggle to find time for exercise. Having something flexible might make it a bit more feasible. Thanks for reading.
Such a cute photo! This sounds like a great way to keep fit if you can’t get to the gym etc and have a busy lifestyle. I love that the kids can get involved with you too!
#KCACOLS
I’m trying to get my husband involved too but it’s a lot harder than conveying Peachy to join in. Thanks for reading.
I always seem to struggle to get exercise in as well, the joys of parenting! But this sounds great! #SundayBest
It’s not easy when we already have so much responsibility. But it’s nice to do something for my health sometimes. After all, I want to be around for a long time so that I can be with my Peachy. Thanks for reading.
Oh flex sounds fantastic! The most important thing for me is being able to do it on my own schedule as my day changes massively from one to the next. Your mom sounds like she found a great programme and she sounds like a very healthy, great mommy! 😀 Thanks for sharing with #StayClassyMama!
Our schedule is all over the place. Mostly due to my baby needs and demands. Thanks for reading.
You certainly have a great Mommy there looking after you & it’s wonderful that you are looking after Mommy too. I also don’t do exercises I should be so I will look into Flex! Thank you for sharing with #BloggerClubUK x
You should definitely do the free trial. What’s the worst thing that could happen? Thanks for visiting.
This is a great idea, I’d love to take classes but I’m not one for actually going to them! I love how Peachy is getting involved too, that picture is cute! Thanks so much for sharing with #Blogstravaganza, hope to see you again next week x
Thanks. I’m not really one for going out to classes either. I’m not coordinated enough to exercise in public. I would be too embarrassed. Thanks for reading.
That is a very clever idea. It’s hard to find time to go to classes outside the home and having the same old DVD or whatever gets boring. This sounds like a really exciting way to get exercising. Thanks for linking to #EatSleepBlogRT. Hope you join again next week.
I agree on both counts. Thanks for reading.
This is s0 interesting! I would loce to try this out, thank you so much for sharing. #sharingthebloglove
Do the free trial to see if it’s for you. Thanks for reading.
What a fabulous idea for helping busy mums to find a fitness schedule that works for them. I try to make the most of the time when I have both children at school and preschool but trying to find regular time to exercise is difficult otherwise. Will have to check this out 🙂
Why not sign up for the free trial to see if it works for you? There’s nothing to lose. Thanks for visiting.
Convenience and healthful! Ideal! #eatsleepblogRT xo
So convenient! Thanks for reading.
this sounds ideal for keeping track of actually doing a workout! #KCACOLS
Yes, that’s true. Thanks for visiting.
This sounds ideal for me as I can never get to classes or a gym because of the children. Thank you for linking up to #SundayBest x
Same here. Why not do the free trial to see if it works for you? Thanks for reading.
I love the ide of being able to personalise to fit round you.
Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday
That’s definitely the best feature. Thanks for visiting.
