I want to share with you a cherished family tradition that Mommy told me about. It’s a beautiful gesture that I hope you will find just as meaningful. Each Christmas, we prepare a lavish feast, and while every guest has a seat at the table, there is always one extra place set.
This space is reserved for any unexpected visitor. It’s a symbolic gesture that embodies the spirit of inclusiveness and the essence of Christmas. The holidays are a time to come together, to celebrate our differences, and to remember that we are all part of one big family.
This spot at our table is for those who can’t be with us in body but are present in spirit. It’s for those who have no one to share the holidays with and who need a place to belong. Quite simply, this space is for anyone who may need it and for those we wish could join us.
This year, we are hosting dinner at our home, and Mommy will set an extra place at the table. As we gather together, I will look at that empty spot and imagine that you, my blogging family, are right there with us. That is my Christmas wish this year.
