The Blogging Baby

People don’t believe that a baby can have a blog. They say I’m too little to run things. They doubt that it’s really me writing these words. I assure you that I am the blogging baby, and it is me doing the work.

Blogging takes a lot of effort. As a blogging baby, I am always working on new material. I test out new toys and gadgets for my reviews. I taste mommy’s cooking and approve recipes. I go on outings to new places taking note of what I’ve seen and where I’ve been. I examine my days with great scrutiny to figure out what’s worth writing about.

Then there are the images. A picture is worth a thousand words and I always have a photo with my post. This takes a lot of work and commitment. You wouldn’t believe the amount of time I spend posing for the camera. I always have to make sure that I have a relevant photo to go with what I want to say.

Once I have an idea, and the photos to go with it, I can begin putting the words together. I do some research to confirm my facts, then I carefully type each post with great attention to detail. I make sure that my words have purpose and flow. I slave away at a keyboard until I’m satisfied with the result.

Can’t talk. Working.

That’s some of the work put into my posts, but it doesn’t stop there. What’s the point of blogging if you have no visitors to enjoy your work? Next comes social media management. I make sure that I share each post on Facebook and Twitter. I add relevant hashtags to help readers find me and mention people and brands that my post pertains to.

Not quite finished yet. A blogger must give back to the blogging community. I add my posts to link-ups, then I read and comment on other blogs. I check my social media accounts for great content from the community. I go through every comment on my own blog and try to reciprocate or at least reply.

I know what you must be thinking.

“Peachy, that’s a lot for such a little person. You must be some sort of super baby!”

Well, I am a super baby, but I do have some help. Mommy edits all my posts and puts on the finishing touches. She helps me work the mouse because when I try it by myself I always lose the thing somewhere. When I get tired, mommy takes over for me. She is a great assistant and I couldn’t do it without her.
